I am pretty excited to be playing two gigs in one week! Weeds coming up on Saturday, and tomorrow night I am at Wine-Ohs, opening for Treeline and Shaela Miller. Should be a great show - come on down and check it out!

Lately I have really been digging the music of The Innocence Mission. They had a big hit in 90s (on the Empire Records soundtrack) and then kind of faded from top forty view - but they certainly didn’t fade creatively. Quite the contrary, they have continued making fantastic records, and gone from strength to strength. I am grateful to my friend Ian for recently reminding me about this band again … I’ve been lucky to discover them all over again. Here is a standout track from their 1999 album Birds of My Neighborhood (reissued and remastered in 2006). I consider this song to be a modern classic, which, goodness know , in the era of Blurred Lines, is a rare enough thing.
